Have You No Sole!?

It's very sad when a sneaker loses it's sole. It's especially hard on the feet.

Dumpster of Love

quite the turnout, originally uploaded by the blood dumpster.
Pictures are up for the Blood Dumpster party from last week. Might be able to spot me or my picture in there. I must have been laying low whenever pictures were being taken.

It was a blast, though. I can't want for our next event!

Happy ♥ Day

This is part of the Card I gave to my sweetheart. Did the whole thing in Prismacolors, which tend to be tend to be my favorite analog medium for doing color. I was also impressed by the bristol board I drew on too. Nothing bled through at all and I got pretty saturated in same parts.

Anyway, enjoy Valentines' Day, and with whomever you celebrate it!

Illustration Friday: "Muddy"

Woo this is my first Illustration Friday entry ever. I actually tried doing a  couple ink pieces on cardboard first, but they just didn't seem "me" although they were visually muddy. I tend to be a literal guy, although I try to defy it, so I caved and did literal "mud" illustration.

Gina!

I just wanted to draw my dog, Gina, and share it with you all. She's hairless on her belly so she has to wear sweaters and coats all winter, which make her look awfully cute. However, looks can be deceiving. She's quite mean to strangers. Thus she must accessorize with a barking spray collar. Maybe soon she'll be able to take a compliment.

Party!

Attention all New Yorkers! The Blood Dumpster. the art collective of which I am a part, is having a party entitled "Dumpster of Love" in Greenpoint, Brooklyn this Friday the 12th. There shall be music and discounted drinks I and other group memembrs will be in attended and I'll have one piece on display. So you can meet me and make fun of my artwork to my face for a change.

PLEASE RSVP on the Facebook event page or the Yelp! page. Thanks!

Here's the spiel:

The Blood Dumpster, a NYC-based art collective, celebrates another year of art, beauty and mayhem with a pre-Valentine's bash in Brooklyn. The event, entitled Dumpster of Love, will bring together the creative class in Brooklyn with great drink specials - $3 Yuengling drafts and $5 Absolut cocktails, an all-night raffle and more creativity then may be legal in most states. The party is part art show that will feature many members from the collective's wide range of visual magicians. Expect artwork displayed on the walls from Blood Dumpster artists as well as a screening of various video work.

The Blood Dumpster is bringing along a few artists of the musical persuasion for this one. Funk House DJs, Jason Orrell and Tobeytech start the night off right, leading up to Rhinostrich's 8-bit inspired melodies, then on to Epileptic Peat, a bad ass 8-string bassist armed with an artillery of pedals, the band Skullbuggery, a sea shanty styled child of the Reverend Billy choir, and Belltone Suicide, a Massachusetts noise artist. Not to mention, an appearance of Memo the Clown! Arrive early for free swag and to scoop up some raffle tickets, the prizes get only get better as the night goes on.

Rapunzel Revamp

Hey peoples. I entered another T-shirt design to Threadless.com. I had been wanting to submit an earlier design but I wanted to totally redraw it and make it more fun and dynamic and IN YER FACE! Hopefully, I succeeded and millions will want to buy it. Or at least not look away when they see it.

Here's what it used to look like.

As of this post it's still got 5 days of voting left. So go to it!
